Information on management of personal data recorded by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (hereinafter: the MNB) at the registration of participants at the Budapest FinTech Summit 2020 of the MNB in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC and those of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on the Freedom of Information are as follows.
Data controller
Magyar Nemzeti Bank (the Central Bank of Hungary) (hereinafter referred to as: the MNB)

Scope of managed data
Data provided by the participants at the time of registration: name, job title (position), company name, email address, cell phone number, nationality.
Partner data
The person registering for the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 acknowledges, that when registering his/her partner, s/he states that s/he has all the permission and contribution from the partner to be able to give and handle the partner’s data.
Legal basis of data management
With the knowledge of this information release a clear consent by the person participating in the registration process must be taken. A statement thereof should be indicated by ticking the referring checkbox.
Aim and time of data management
The MNB manages the data to identify participants. Only the colleagues, who are part of the team responsible for the organisation of the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 have access to such data. During data management, the MNB will not employ a data processing agent. The controller handles data until possible claims resulting from legal relationship can be enforced but for up to five years, the utmost.
Forwarding data
The MNB may forward the data to a third party on the basis of the relevant legislation concerning the fight against terrorism and in line with the regulations of Act CXXV of 1995 on the National Security Services, as well as to the organisations in charge of admission to the events related to the Budapest FinTech Summit 2020.
Data security measures:
Personal data maintained in an electronic format are stored on the servers of the MNB, external data processors are used on an ad hoc basis. In all data management outsourcing cases the MNB ensures that the contracted service provider meets the requirements for data management. The MNB takes appropriate measures to protect personal data (among others) from unauthorized access and modification.
Rights related to data processing
Right of information and right to access:
You may request written information from the MNB about the following, using the contact point listed as “Data Controller” above:
- what personal data of yours the MNB manages,
- on what legal basis does the MNB manage your personal data,
- for what reason does the MNB manage your personal data,
- from which source the MNB acquired your personal data,
- for what period does the MNB manage your personal data,
- if the MNB still manages your personal data,
- to whom, when, for what reason and to which personal data did the MNB grant access to or to whom did the MNB transfer your personal data.
Furthermore, you are entitled to a copy of your personal data stored at the MNB.
The MNB will fulfil your request in a maximum of 30 days in a reply letter sent to the contact details provided in your request. If you send your request to the MNB through an electronic channel, the MNB will also reply using electronic means if possible. Please indicate if you would like to receive the reply through a different channel.
Right to rectification:
You may request the MNB in writing using the contact point listed as “Data Controller” to modify or rectify your personal data (for example your name, email address if it changed). If you send your request to the MNB through an electronic channel the MNB will also reply using electronic means if possible. Please indicate if you would like to receive the reply through a different channel.
The MNB will fulfil the request in a maximum of 30 days without undue delay and send a notification in a reply letter sent to the contact details provided in the request.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”):
You may request the MNB in writing to delete your personal data, using the contact point listed as “Data Controller”.
The MNB will reject the request for erasure if it is required by legislation to store your personal data. If such requirements are not valid for your personal data, the MNB will fulfil the request in a maximum of 30 days without undue delay and send a notification in a reply letter sent to the contact details provided in the request. If you send your request to the MNB through an electronic channel the MNB will also reply using electronic means if possible. Please indicate if you would like to receive the reply through a different channel.
Right to restrict the processing of personal data:
You may request the MNB in writing to restrict the processing of your personal data, using the contact point listed as “Data Controller”. If the processing of personal data is restricted, such personal data shall, with the exception of storage, only be processed by the MNB with the data subject's consent or for the establishment of legal claims or for reasons of important public interest.
A request to restrict the processing of data may be submitted if:
- you think that your data are not correct or
- you think that the MNB’s processing of your data was not legal but you do not wish to have your data erased or
- you request the processing to establish or defend legal claims but the MNB does not need these data any more.
The MNB will fulfil the request in a maximum of 30 days without undue delay and send a notification in a reply letter sent to the contact details provided in the request. If you send your request to MNB through an electronic channel the MNB will also reply using electronic means if possible. Please indicate if you would like to receive the reply through a different channel.
Right to withdraw consent:
You may notify the MNB in writing, during the period of processing, that you wish to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, using the contact point listed as “Data Controller”. If consent is withdrawn the MNB’s processing of your personal data prior to withdrawal is deemed to be legal.
The MNB will delete the personal data upon receiving the withdrawal without undue delay, and send a notification in a reply letter sent to the contact details provided in the notification. If you send your request to the MNB through an electronic channel the MNB will also reply using electronic means if possible. Please indicate in your notification if you would like to receive the reply through a different channel.
Legal remedy
If, in the affected person’s judgement, data management does not comply with the legal requirements, they have the option to initiate the proceedings of the MNB’s internal data protection officer, or they can bring the matter before court. In Hungary, court proceedings may only be initiated against the MNB in its registered seat.
In addition, an investigation may be initiated by filing a report to the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information on the grounds that there was an infringement in practising the rights related to personal data management or there is imminent danger thereof.

Modification of the Information release
The controller reserves the right to modify this Information release unilaterally without prior notification. The controller will send out the up-to-date version of this Information release to registered participants in email.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Registration period
1 February 2020 – 6 May 2020
Registration procedures: registration as a visitor and a Fintech startup exhibitor will be made exclusively through the online registration system. All mandatory fields in the registration system must be filled-out.
Participation is subject to prior registration. Due to the limited capacity of the venue, the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 organizing team preserves the right of control over the confirmation of the registration intention.
Visitor ticket (FinTech startup and normal) registration: The registration procedure will start upon your initiation via the online registration system and finalizes once the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 organizing team has confirmed your participation via email from registration@rendreg.mnb.hu .
Fintech startup exhibitor registration: Participation as a Fintech startup exhibitor is subject to prior registration made through the online registration system and a one-pager of your FinTech startup company sent via email to bfs@mnb.hu. Registration finalizes once the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 organizing team has confirmed your participation as a Fintech startup exhibitor via email from registration@rendreg.mnb.hu. Please note that confirmed registration includes the participation of 2 representatives of the Fintech startup at the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020. Please also note that the confirmed registration gives entitlement to the use of a stand location.
Free of charge participation
Participation at the Budapest FinTech Summit 2020 is free for all registered Participants (visitors and exhibitors).
Ticket allowances
Ticket allowance includes access to the Fintech exhibitions, keynote speeches, panel discussions and the evening event.
Please note, we have limited places available on the evening programme, and your participation is based on the ‘first come first served’ principle.
Personal and non-transferable access badges will be issued to all Participants and can only be worn by the intended users.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations shall be made via email to bfs@mnb.hu, by 1 May 2020. Should you have to cancel your registration, the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 organizing team would kindly ask you to express such intention the earliest possible for new registrations to be acceptable to the freed-up spaces.
Delegate’s travel responsibilities
Participants are responsible for booking and paying their own accommodation, flights, as well as acquiring travel/health insurances and arranging the necessary travel documents (valid transport and visa if applicable). The MNB will issue ‘letters of invitation’ and visa letters, for those who officially request that for their visa applications at bfs@mnb.hu.
Please note, that the above-mentioned letters will be provided only after we have approved of your full registration.
Participant replacement
Participants can be replaced before 1 May 2020 upon request via email to bfs@mnb.hu.

Limitation of liability
Participants acknowledge that regarding section 6:152 of Act V of 2013 of the Hungarian Civil Code, the MNB excludes its liability for any material or non-material damage – including in particular accidents, poor health conditions, etc. – arising in connection with Participants’ participation at the Budapest FinTech Summit 2020, and thus the MNB shall not be liable for damages towards either the Participants or third parties.
Miscellaneous
Participants acknowledge that MNB, or other third parties may produce sound and image recordings of the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020 or the related events thereof. Accordingly, participants, by virtue of her/his participation at the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020, or the related events thereof, give express permission to the recording and publication of her/his image, likeness and actions;
Participants acknowledge that they shall pay for all the damages they cause to MNB, or any third parties or events related to the Budapest Fintech Summit 2020.
Please note, that all the dates and deadlines mentioned above are meant in CET, Central European Time Zone (=UTC+1:00).
Please note, that special requests regarding dietary restrictions or accessibility will be taken into consideration only, if they are indicated via the online registration system. Unfortunately, without letting the organizers know about these restrictions in time, such requests cannot be fulfilled.
Governing Law / Jurisdiction
This Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual disputes/claims arising out of or in connection with it) are subject to the laws Hungary. Further, Participants agree to the jurisdiction of Hungary to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy that relates to or arises in connection with the Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual disputes/claims relating to or arising in connection with them).
Entire agreement
Other than as stated in this section or as explicitly agreed upon in writing between the Participants and MNB, the Terms and Conditions constitute all the terms and conditions agreed upon between the Participants and MNB and supersede any prior agreements in relation to the subject matter of this Terms of Purchase, whether written or oral.
Modification of the Information release
Participants agree that MNB is entitled to modify this Terms and Conditions unilaterally.
